Privacy Policy

ResumeRanked ("we", "us") helps you score and improve your own professional profile. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have. We built the product to respect you: you sign in, you consent to each thing you share, and you can leave with everything at any time.
Information we collect
- Account information from your LinkedIn sign in: your name, email, profile photo, and LinkedIn member id. We receive this only because you authenticated yourself through LinkedIn.
- Profile content you provide: headline, summary, experience, skills, education, and industry, either typed in or pasted from your own LinkedIn data export.
- Product activity: scores, the analyses you run, leaderboard and battle participation, and referral activity.
- Payment information: if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
We only ever process a profile that its own owner signed in and supplied. We do not fetch, scrape, or crawl LinkedIn, and we never analyze anyone who has not signed in themselves.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: scoring your profile, generating suggestions and critiques, and running comparisons you opt into.
- To operate the leaderboard and battle rooms, only when you choose to join them.
- To process subscriptions and manage billing.
- To provide support and to keep the service secure.
Consent and what others can see
Anything visible to other people is opt in and off by default. Joining the leaderboard, entering a battle, and showing your real name or photo are each a separate, explicit choice. By default you appear under a pseudonymous handle. Every consent action is recorded with a timestamp and can be withdrawn.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), Google (the Gemini model that generates analysis from your normalized profile), Stripe (payments), and LinkedIn (sign in). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Storage and security
We store only what is needed to provide the service. Your profile data is access controlled per user and encrypted at rest by our database provider. Fields visible to third parties are opt in only.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can export all of your data or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account area. Deletion is a hard delete, not a hidden flag. You may also withdraw any consent you have given. These rights include those under the GDPR and CCPA. To exercise any of them, use the in product controls or email hello@resumeranked.com.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, leaderboard entry, comparisons, and account data.
Children and age
You must be at least 16 years old to use ResumeRanked. The service is for people building a professional profile and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and specifically not from children under 13 (consistent with the U.S. Children\'s Online Privacy Protection Act). If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 16, we delete it. If you believe a minor has given us data, email hello@resumeranked.com and we will remove it promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
